Zinfest Wine Festival in Lodi California

If you've never been to Lodi California here is a great reason to go.  The Lodi wineries are having their annual Zinfest Wine Festival.  It all kicks off on May 15th with a winegrower's dinner at the Vintner's Grille.

ImageKick-off the 5th annual ZinFest Wine Festival in style at the Vintner’s Grille! Join local winegrowers at Lodi Lake for a festive evening featuring the Top 12 Zins of Lodi! These, best of the best wines will be paired perfectly with barbequed wine country cuisine prepared by Papapavlos, one of the region’s finest restaurants. Sip delicious Lodi Zinfandel while making friends with our local vintners, growers and other guests. This evening is not to be missed; get your tickets today, as the event sells out each year.

Then on Saturday May 16th, on the banks of the Mokelumne River from 12-6 there will be of over 50 local wineries, food, live entertainment and plenty of fun at Lodi Lake Park.  May in Lodi is still not too hot, so it should make for a perfect all-day outing.  Tickets are $35.00 in advance and $45.00 at the door.  No dogs are allowed and they suggested that you leave the kids at home.  If you go to this event, and bring the wine glass that you will be receiving, you will not have to pay any fees at the winery open houses on Sunday the 17th.
